paragiraffe I love arugula.

forgive me while i act like a girl for a minute

After a stunning culinary masterpiece at Applebee’s this evening, I ventured over to the mall to find some overpriced product to soothe and moisturize my painfully dry skin. I went in for lotion. Of course I came out with a lot more. Of course Lerner’s was having a winter clearance sale. Of course the Body Shop had a three for deal. Of course the cutest little purse was 30% off its already marked-down price. It’s okay, though. It’s all part of my plan. I’ve decided to become as high-maintenance as possible. Clothes shopping (though I’ve always loved this), makeup, eyebrow plucking, keeping up with my nails, expensive haircuts, moisturizing, and as many personal grooming products as my bathroom can handle.

Okay. That’s enough girly stuff.

In other news, the Superbowl is this weekend, and Emma and I are planning to see as many movies as possible over a 48-hour period. This includes (but is not limited to) The Perfect Score, Thirteen, and The Butterfly Effect. I’ll let you know how that pans out.

See Thirteen first, because at least you won’t regret that one.

ACK! I think that plan needs to bite the big one. So you went on a spree… you don’t have to become high-maintenance… that can be a turn-off!!

BTW, everyone goes on a spree now and then! Heck, the new Best Buy here in Bloomington has me scared for my finances! I walked in the other day looking for headphones and i came out with a X-Box game, DVD, and if they had gotten their claws on me… i’m quite certain i could have been talked into financing a Plasma Screen TV!!

i’m not concerned about turning anyone off since i am not concerned with being attractive to anyone.

Excellent attitude, Maura…being high maintenance is all about making yourself feel good. I plan on doing the same if I ever have money again.

I spent $33 on a haircut today.

I’m switching to lower-maintainance: fewer haircuts and less shaving, but I CANNOT give up moisturizer not only because I like the pretty smell and having my hands soft but because my hands crack and BLEED in the wintertime. and I am quite in the habit of plucking my eyebrows

eh. i’m exactly the same : i spend too much; i admit. but i’m not going to cut down :P it makes me happy, makes me feel good. so what if i can never use my telephone, or pay for my bus fare. my $100 hair cut looks fab. and more importantly – i FEEL fab. hah, being a girl feels good =o)
