adventures in haircolor

Last night, my friend Hilary and I highlighted our hair with Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Multi-Lights. We had a difficult time deciding which kit to go with, because although the Garnier box is shiny, if we used the Herbal Essences one, according to the commercials, naked men would show up at our door. The deciding factor was the Garnier’s box promise of “subtle highlights,” a phrase that was very reassuring when contemplating permanent haircolor. (Also, the sample base haircolors shown on the Garnier boxes looked exactly like our actual colors.)

After mixing the cream (oh, I’m sorry, crème), I contemplated for a moment, and Hilary said, “Are you okay?” I said, “Yes, I’m just having commitment issues.” Everything turned out fine, and we actually decided Hilary missed her calling. I was really impressed with how the product actually highlighted our hair rather than streaked it. And, as promised, it is subtle.

Also, I went to a baseball game tonight, so that is two things marked off my summer to-do list.
