Stacey: Okay, how much are you leaving?
Maura: Well, 15% is 1.47$ and 20% is 1.96$.
Stacey: Huh? How’d you do that so fast? I’m supposed to be the math person!
Maura: Oh, it’s here at the bottom of the slip.
There you have it, kids. I am a math genius.

One of my favorite pizza joints just started adding 17% tip for parties of seven. For lunch, I often go with a group of, incidently, seven friends and we split two large pizza and two pitchers of soda with the tab coming in at just under $30. We always leave a buck each for the tip.
So basically, my favorite pizza place just screwed their wait staff out of over two bucks a trip.
