RSS and links geekery
If you’re looking for an absurdly simple and easy-to-use RSS and Atom parser, possibly one written in PHP (and, really who isn’t?), may I recommend SimplePie. If you take a look at the function list, you may understand what I mean by absurdly simple (or not). There are even some ideas to get you going (although seem be using AJAX just for the sake of using AJAX). Anyway, might be something to play around with if you’re looking to do some simple syndication (with built-in caching!). (I also can’t help mentioning the very 37signals-inspired site design.)
In other news, I decided today to give Ma.gnolia a go, at least for a while. It’s pretty, and it saves screenshots of the things you bookmark. I mention this because if you’re subscribed to my feed, you won’t get my bookmarks for the day at night until Feedburner adds support for Ma.gnolia, which is apparently on their to-do list. I’m sure you won’t cry too hard.
Speaking of daily bookmarks, I was feeling about 28% deceived today when I learned Kottke post-dates his remaindered links… Then I got over it.
