Maura: Emma and I are going to Chicago for a weekend during her spring break. I really need to book the hotel, actually.
Shaun: What’s in Chicago?
Maura: Uh, fun?
Maura: That’s where they keep it.
For not quite four days at the end of next week/weekend (23rd-26th), Emma and I will be in CHICAGO! As of today, the forecast is for some balmy mid-40s, and there’s even a chance of snow. I am looking forward to IKEA, shopping, walking around and taking pictures, and Shedd Aquarium.
So, if you have any hot Chicago tips, let me know. I’ll definitely need somewhere awesome to eat pizza on Friday night, with it still being Lent and all. And if you’re in Chicago, let me know that, too!

I’m in Chicago on occasion for work; we live only an hour and a half away. Yet, I still know nothing about the city. It is a nice city, from what I’ve seen of it.
GINO’S EAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best pizza ever!!!!!! You must also buy me some polish sausage at a deli and bring it home for me….I will make something very yummy if you do :-) oh and perogi..I need some perogi…can I just go with you???
yeah, supposedly our deep-dish pizza is good. looks like i’m just going to miss you, but we still have atlanta…
Pizza Uno originated in Chicago, the original is a hoot to go to or you oculd try Pizza Duo right down the street. Shame the Cubs won’t be in town, nothing like a trip up to Wrigley even if you don’t like baseball.
Try Giordano’s pizza… there are several locations in downtown Chicago. It’s awesome!
go to wrigley and catch a game…oh wait…you’re GOING TO CHICAGO IN MARCH…shouldn’t Emma be drunk and naked on a beach somewhere?
Oooh. I went in September if you need any travel tips.
And, I highly recommend staying at the Hilton near the Buckingham fountain. And definitely go to Pizza Uno – AWESOME.
I am SO JEALOUS!! That aquarium looks absolutely fabulously awesome!
you should stay with chris, or at least see him while you’re up there! or luke!
