Christmas Cheer

I ordered just two Christmas presents online this year, but they’re two I’m really excited about, and they both came today. So I got all of my gifts for my family together, laid them out on my bed, and admired my handiwork and thoughtfulness. Then I removed the price tags, collected the receipts in case of returns, and consolidated everything to a couple of bags to take with me this weekend to wrap.

In other news, I looked at my checking account this morning, and I have definitely been out buying Christmas gifts.

You know, even though this is a horribly bastardized and commercialized holiday, I really enjoy giving presents. I like thinking about what to get, talking to other people about what to get, buying, and, best of all, wrapping. I hope your gifting is as agreeable and stress-free as mine.

Parents: less than $20 each. Friends: mix CD’s. Smiles abounding: priceless.

Ok, design complaint. The “post” button in the comments is obnoxiously large.

Christmas might be getting to be a “horribly bastardized and commercialized holiday” as you say… but at least it’s not to the point of Valentines Day… i hope it never gets there!
