paragiraffe I love arugula.

Maura knows Jack

When I was in Franklin over Christmas, I tuned my car radio to the local JackFM station, 96.3. In case you don’t know, JackFM doesn’t take requests and plays “whatever we want,” from Kelly Clarkson to the Rolling Stones. It is so fantastic I can’t even explain it. Except sometimes when you’re listening it’ll miss for a while. But over Christmas the Nashville station was on, and any time there was the opportunity to get in the car and go somewhere I said, “Yay! More JackFM!”

I’d been planning to find the Knoxville JackFM, but couldn’t seem to remember to look it up I’m basically really lazy. Sometime last week I was perusing one of those junk mailings, a book of ads parading as a magazine, before I tossed it, and I noticed a promotion listing the local frequency, 95.7. Score.

It’s been an interesting week thus far waking up with the Jack, but at least they don’t do those morning talk shows that usually just send me into a deeper sleep. There’s been two many awesome songs to list, but the highlight by far was waking up to Nena’s “99 Red Balloons” yesterday.

In my region, it’s called BobFM, but the station is really two hours away. Somehow, I can get it in my car.
