Things I Do More of, Now that I Live in Atlanta
-
Walk
-
Parallel park… I am hoping this will become second nature soon. I still do too much adjusting.
-
Walk
-
Take public transportation… Overall this has been better than expected.
-
Walk
-
Get Starbucks… I actually got a regular coffee the other day when I realized how many lattes I’ve had lately.
-
Walk
-
Eat lunch out… Another money suck, but I’m bonding with the coworkers right now.
-
Walk
-
Think of things in terms of blocks… For example, it was eight (8) blocks to his office to have lunch with Shaun today.
-
Walk
-
Eat burritos… Mostly from Moe’s. Their chips suck.
-
Walk
-
Go for my run through interesting places…not my apartment complex.
-
(And of course) walk

Shhh! Us ITPers don’t want the rest of the world to know about how walkable our intown communities are. Don’t let the secret out!
Blocks? Atlanta is probably the 2nd or 1st worst city to count blocks. They’re all of arbitrary size and shape. Might as well be London, except less dry humor and more humid heat.
Yes the parking will come in time. I just started driving a year ago and my friends say the only thing I can do well in parallel park.
whatever you do, do not give up the walking. :) The food in atlanta tends to get to you after a while.
willy’s > moe’s
I think the only time I’ve had to parallel park is when I took my driving test. I wonder if I can even do it now.
I hope to live in Atlanta some day.
