Today Shaun and I attended a season ticket holder “play day” at Turner Field. They invited everyone in to shop, shag fly balls in the outfield, take batting practice and pitch in the bullpen. There was also lunch, coffee, hot chocolate and Cracker Jack. Fantastic!
Getting to hang out in the outfield was pretty awesome. While I’m not saying being a major league outfielder is easy, it’s certainly easier to fathom when you are down there. Everyone was attempting to catch flies or grounders from the other season ticket holders taking batting practice on the field, which was kind of hit or miss depending on how good the batter was.
Shaun’s favorite part was pitching in the visitor’s bullpen. I figured this would be supremely embarrassing for me, so I just took pictures.
It’s okay, though, because I turned out to be a pretty good contact hitter.

I like the picture of Shaun in the outfield.
