Pecan pie

I am going to make a PECAN PIE! for Thanksgiving. I can taste it already.

Here’s the question: traditional? Chocolate? Caramel? I need help. Here are some options:

My money’s on the Bourbon recipe from Paula. Nothing says fall and winter like Bourbon.

In addition to being a damn fine spirit, the vanillin and smokiness from the oak barrel aging should compliment the pecans well.

I gotta go with traditional. Although… the caramel one sounds awfully good too.
