My bag of firsts

I stole this from Jen, etc. I also didn’t steal them all, because I can!

First memory
I remember eating cinnamon toast at the kitchen table with my Auntie Kathy and my Uncle Dennis. It was just them, because my parents were at the hospital and my mom was in labor with my brother. It’s extremely unlikely that this is a real memory, as I was only two, but I swear I remember it.

First dog
I’ve never had a dog, but we had fish and one cat, Ariel.

First time being mistaken for a boy
I hear when I was a baby I was mistaken for a boy all of the time.

First huge disappointment
Maybe when I couldn’t get my ears pierced when I was nine. A whole other story!

First big family vacation
We didn’t do any big vacations when I was a kid, and I didn’t go to Disney World until I was in my 20s. We did some camping.

First stay in the hospital
I have never stayed in the hospital, except when I was born (knock on wood).

First car
My first car was a manual, red, 1993 Honda Civic.

First job
I was a cashier at Target. Also red.

First paycheck
Lately I’ve been trying to remember what I spent my measly Target paychecks on. Movies?

First promotion
I’ve never been promoted in any job I’ve had, just moved on to another one.

First apartment
I lived with two girls with four cats between them. I am done with cats forever.

First blog not on Myspace
This cracks me up, since I’ve been blogging far longer than MySpace has been around. My first domain was maura.nu and I published to it with Blogger.

I have no babies or husbands so that’s the end!
