Brandon (entry) and I saw Sideways this evening (yes, on a Monday, shut up). When I originally started seeing previews for this movie, I thought, ehh… I mean, really, who wants to see a film with Thomas Haden Church in it? The critics, however, seemed to disagree with me vehemently—Sideways has a mind-boggling 92 Metacritic score.

In a nutshell, this movie is Swingers…with wine. A lot of wine. I officially know nothing about wine, by the way. It was good. It was funny. There are some hilarious (and vulgar) parts. I suppose it was very true and realistic and whatnot. Was it worth a 92? I’m not sure. I am going to let it age in my mind for a bit. I did adore the final scene, though.
