Today, in the mail, I got all sorts of things to prove I am an adult. First, I got my very first car payment bill. I should frame it or something. Toyota Financial, I would imagine, would rather I just pay it, however. They also sent me a privacy statement. Privacy, what? They better well be releasing this information—I want to buy a house someday! They also spelled my name wrong, and for this, some low-level clerical employee will be hearing from me tomorrow.
Additionally, I received my auto insurance card and policy declarations. When you have a loan on a car, they insist on that pesky insurance stuff. The most interesting part of my policy, I thought, is I have rental reimbusement coverage. I am twenty-three, and I am not even supposed to rent a car yet! And, my deductibles are low low low. This makes me dance around with glee (not very adult-like, I might add).
So, there you have it. I have a car payment and insurance. How grown-up of me.
In closing, I would like to say the following: ♥ ♠ ♣.

It’s awesome that you’ve never had to pay insurance or anything until now.

I had 90 days before I had to make a payment. Yours came in quick.
I still have my first bill.

In some ways… it’s good to be considered an adult! On Thanksgiving night, on my way home from my grandmother’s house… i hit a deer. I found out my insurance deductible is only $100, my premiums won’t go up, AND i get rental reimbursement… i won’t be whining about paying the premiums anytime soon!
