seven am is my new favorite time of day

10 dec 04

No really.

So my body has been on this kick lately where it likes to wake me up BEFORE my alarm. Yes, before. It gets six to seven hours of sleep and calls it quits (or the opposite, really, as the case may be). I really have no objection to this, as I have been on a kick lately where I like to get my gym time in before work. However, it is a little freaky to wake up when it’s still dark outside, especially when it’s not to a blaring alarm clock. If you know me, you know that I am not a morning person at all, and waking up early is completely out of context for me.

Anyway, I am becoming addicted to waking up early. The world is quiet and the day is long and stretches out before you, full of possibilities. This is cheesy, but it is SO TRUE. Getting up early is addicting. Try it, and you will see.

I love to wake up early too, but I’m such an owl. You’re right - the feeling is addictive. The morning feels fresh and the world’s ready for you to conquer.

It’s only nice when you volunteer to do it. I think the exercise has something to do with it. Good for you, but wait until your job requires that you’re up at 6AM. You’ll hate it.

After waking up at 5 a.m. and starting work at 7 a.m. this week, I am so glad that I have the night shift next week.

Try haveing a mini person around the house, trust me sleeping past 7am becomes a treat :).

Funny how when you have to get up early for work, it’s so hard to get out of bed, but when the weekend comes, your body has no problems getting up just as early.
