the last week of the year

26 dec 04

So, I am pretty excited about the last week of the year. It’s kind of interesting if you think about it. Today is Sunday, and by Saturday it will be 2005. I really cannot say enough good things about 2004, and I’m looking forward to 2005. I’m working on a personal year in review.

So, I did not really mean to get nostalgic; I actually need some help. I have a girly question. With some of my Christmas money, I want to buy a new fragrance. Suggest something. Britney Spears’s Curious and Clinique Happy are out.

Satsuma body lotion from The Body Shop is my favorite right now. The lotion lasts all day. Yum.

Victoria Secret’s Angel collection is good.. both Halo and Heavenly.. Divine I don’t like though.

I wear Dior J’Adore, and my sister wears Givenchy Amarige. Both are divine. Hanae Mori Butterfly is also fabulous. :)

I love Bath and Body Works’ Coconut Lime Verbena.. and Warm Vanilla Sugar. They have been two of my favorites for a while now.

Not sure how girly you are, but I’m obsessed with Chanel Chance. It’s yummy but not really floral. Supposed to be for their younger, non -No. 5 set.

Blush by Marc Jacobs. Smells like heaven and not too floral.

It’s a big secret, but since we probably don’t move in the same circles:

Trish MacEvoy’s Number Nine.

Blackberry vanilla musk and lemongrass, or something like that.

It’s just a little sweet, a little spicy/crisp, completely mature, and I get compliments from everyone when I wear it.

Nice blog, by the way. My first comment. (tee-hee)

Ralph Lauren - Romance Not real girly, but nice!

I’m an advocate of Hugo, but also a new scent called “Laila”. Nordstroms is the only place I’ve found it, but it’s fabulous.

my three all time favorites are noa by cacharel (it’s sophisticated and kind of fun), sicily by dolce and gabbana (it’s a bit heavy but very beautiful) and good life by davidoff - which is pretty and yet strong.

I suggest Britney Spears’s Curious.

For a grown-up scent, try Estee Lauder’s Pleasures.

Anything with musk and you are fired. It makes me ill. I have a sensitivity to skunk. And the oxford comma.
