peanut butter

16 oct 04

When I was in college, as long as I had a box of saltines and a jar of peanut butter, I could put off grocery shopping for a good week.

Somewhere my mother is cringing.

Change that to Cool Ranch Doritos and cream cheese and you’ve got mine ;)

I told my dad I could survive of that, and he refuses to believe me.

I’m out of college and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches are still basic staples in my kitchen. :)

My survival food has always been dry roasted peanuts. I try to buy several jars ever few months, ya know, just in case.

No I’m not! Besides, you know how I feel about grocery shopping - I try to give it up for Lent and Emma reminds me I’m supposed to give up something I actually like! I do however put it off as long as possible….

Peanutines remind me of when I am sick. It is my default meal whenever I don’t feel good. I am fairly sure a box of saltines can last for a few years. It’s almost like they are making themselves inside the box. And you have to buy the name brand on this one. The classic white and blue box. Substitutions will not do.

I did the Ritz cracker with strawberry jelly thing, I could never resist the sweet and salty combination.

Peanut butter is the best spread ever. It topped normal butter sometime back in the 80’s.

Try Graham Crackers and Nutella. Found in your “spreads” isle.
