I voted today! Aren’t you proud of me? I am fortunate to live in Tennessee, one of many states offering early voting. Who did I vote for? Well, I would rather not say. Anyway, when I was done voting, I called a lot of people to share my “voting euphoria.” Apparently some purists oppose early voting because it takes away from the magic of election day. (They said this in more eloquent terms, but that is the gist of it.) I am here to tell you that there is plenty of magic in the early voting process.
(This is kind of interesting because originally I was going to talk about my disappointment about not living in a swing state and thus receiving no visits from my friendly Presidential candidates. However, I soon forgot this in my early voting euphoria.)
Speaking of voting, did you know that the last time the Red Sox won the World Series, in 1918, women did not have the right to vote?
OH MY GOD THE CURSE HAS BEEN LIFTED!

Is this the first time you’ve voted? I’m just curious because I thought we were basically the same age and I’ve voted in the ‘96, ‘00, and now this election. I’m not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but why haven’t you been voting until now?
My future parents-in-law teach at the school where there are fleas. The building is old and a various assortment of animals crawl underneath it at night bring fleas and a various assundry of parasites and diseases into the school. They should really build a new school, but Campbell County won’t spend a dime on anything other than administrators’ salaries.
They have to make up the two days they miss at the end of the school year - that’s not so awesome.

I didn’t vote in the 2000 election because I’m a slacker and didn’t register. For the 1996 election, I was 14, so obviously we’re not the same age.

I just turned 18 in July, so this election is going to be my first (voting wise)! I live in Florida, which also allows early voting and was visited by each political party quite heavily … I’ll be voting Friday afternoon.

The curse has been lifted. Holy crap. I have nothing more to wish for in Boston sports. How awesome is that?

Did you know an East Tennessee school will be closed until next week because of fleas.
I think that is awesome.
