For reasons I won’t disgust you with here, I decided to try liquid band-aid. (It’s actually another brand called New Skin, because Liquid Band-Aid is 5$ for only ten applications, while New Skin comes in a bottle containing over one hundred applications.)
It’s kind of like nail polish. You paint it on and can remove it with nail polish remover. It is waterproof and basically forms a big, clear scab over your existing scab. It seems to work, so I can’t complain.
However, it kills that great ripping-off-of-the-Band-Aid metaphor. It’s like removing my liquid Band-Aid with non-acetone nail polish remover? No, not nearly as good.

My problem with the liquid bandage stuff is the fact that I can never get it off. And when I went to use the non-acetone nail polish remover, it hurt like hell.

What good is a band-aid if you don’t get to rip it off?
