Discussing the other Maura in the race I ran on Thanksgiving, in my age bracket nonetheless, and how my goal is to beat her next time.

Yeah, I know my time sucks…not used to pavement. It’ll be better next time.

if you’re not used to pavement, then what exactly are you used to? also, if you were training to run on pavement, why didn’t you train on it? also, do you think that maybe you might frighten people? are you trying to scare this other maura out of racing so that you’ll be the only one?
