I did laundry yesterday, and for the first time ever I saw other people in the laundry room. A fellow launderer and I had the following conversation (paraphrased):
Man in laundry room (MILR): A lot of people seem to do laundry today. Me: Yeah, I’ve never seen anyone in here until today. MILR: It’s such a beautiful fall day, and everyone is doing things inside. Me: Yeah, I just finished cleaning my bathroom. MILR: Is it your birthday? Me (thinking he misheard): My bathroom MILR: No, I only clean my bathroom on Christmas and my birthday Me: Oh. No. It’s not my birthday. I try do do a little bathroom cleaning every week.
And, after a moment..
Me: That’s not a very fun birthday activity.
Am I really as OCD as this guy made me out to be? I just want my bathroom to be clean.

uh, that guy is really gross.
i think i’d be really grossed out if a girl’s bathroom was not generally clean.

Good call on your part. But I’m not shocked by him. Twice a year is probably more than my boy would even think about it.

i don’t clean my bathroom every week… but i certainly clean it more than twice in a year! LOL!

I clean my bathroom weekly, but honestly, it’s only in the anticipation of having company.
