For my Labor Day weekend, even though gas prices are insanely high, I decided to drive out to Raleigh, NC, to visit Stacey. (I made it in a record 5.5 hours.) Today, we went to the beach.
I haven’t been to the beach in a while, and I haven’t been to an east coast beach in many, many years. It was a beautiful day, breezy, not too hot, and there were lots of waves. I spent a lot of time letting them wash over/crash into me, something I was pretty sure I would never tire of.
I forgot how sandy you get when you go to the beach. Yikes.
Anyway, I’ll have pictures when I get back. Have a lovely long weekend.

I hate to chafe. I once went swimming in the ocean in cutoff bluejeans back when i was a small redneck child and didn’t know any better. the pain, the pain, if i had only had enough sense to also be embarrassed.

I love the beach, but every time (without fail) I get home with sand everywhere. And it makes it hard to walk sometimes. =/ So I rarely go to the beach anymore. And if I do go, I just watch the sunset or the people. It’s quite nice. =)
