cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger

26 sep 05

I have this theory that no one actually cares for the taste of pumpkin, but rather it is only a medium for the delicious accompanying spice cocktail.

Thoughts?

You know? I think I may be on board with this theory. Pumpkin spices are supremely awesome, but pumpkin by itself … meh.

Nah, pumpkin’s good stuff. So good, in fact, that it’s worth going to one of the many pumpkin festivals you can find this time of year.

i do not like the taste of pumpkin… but i work with a friend who does. His hometown has a festival based off the pumpkin and they enjoy things that include pumpkin… the most interesting to me is Pumpkin Donuts. Mmmm Donut….

should i assume you’re talking about the Pumpkin Spice Latte from starbucks?

Agreed. Ever emptied out a pumpkin? The smell will bowl you over.

I ate a handful of raw pumpkin once on a dare. it wasn’t bad…a little bland, though. my grandma makes pumpkin soup. it’s pretty good, but also kinda bland.

i think you’re right…

I’ll have to disagree with you on this one. I only add 1/8 of a teaspoon of cinnamon and just a shake of nutmeg to my pumpkin cake. And that pre-made “pumpkin pie spices” stuff? ICK.
