Hello friends. I’d like to introduce you to my friend BCC. You know those emails you get/send with 50-100 people listed under To or CC? You know how fond people are of having their email address distributed to complete strangers? Oh wait, they aren’t. Enter BCC. BCC stands for blind carbon copy, which allows you to list many, many recipients without the recipients seeing the email addresses of the other recipients.
For reasons unclear to me, BCC may not be readily available in your mail program, and you may have to take a moment to find it under an options menu. Try it out. It’ll change your life.

Yeah, I’ll use it for all those emails I send out to 50-100 people… which is never.

It’s also great for passive aggressive stunts like ratting people out without them knowing.

Jim, I disagree with your assessment. You should probably be careful about who you say that to. Hope this doesn’t get back to the boss!!

BCC is wonderful. I can send something to a whole host of my female friends without any of them getting jealous or territorial.

I always use BCC. I don’t understand why others don’t.
Go eat Thai food.
