Ending

24 aug 06

It’s become pretty apparent to me in the last week that summer is ending.

Sure, the weather hasn’t gotten the memo, but the kids are once again locked in classrooms all day, and the stores are filled with long-sleeved shirts and sweaters. I won’t be able to wear my favorite white skirt for much longer.

Yeah, fall is my favorite time of year, but this time it’ll find me turning 25, an idea I’m not so thrilled with. Of course, I do get the price drop in car insurance, and, hey, my prediction is coming true. I hadn’t even thought much about it, but the state of Tennessee sent me a notice about my license expiring. I don’t have to take a new picture, so in a way I get to go on being 21.

Hmm… Won’t miss the scorching hot weather, though.

This is so odd. I just had those thoughts last night. Figuring out when to rock my awesome white skirt, and yeah 25. Except I think I am a bit thrilled with that.

At least you don’t live in a city where the insurance goes up, and your agent has to convince you that the rate did go down, but your locality just raised taxes.

25??? Are you joking???? I used to like you! It is over between us and you are so not invited to my upcoming 27th birthday party ;-)

Me too. Looking forward to the insurance down. Not the age up.

I think it hit me summer was ending when we were on vacation last week and I did NOT desire to go to the beach every day. We’d gone almost every weekend this summer and was I… beached out ? Sigh, I guess that means it’s almost time for apple-picking.

The weather here today is on the cooler side. Suprisingly so to head out of the house wearing denim, flip flops and a tee. I needed to come back inside the house and grab a chino jacket. It goes with everything and perfect for fall, however I am not that excited about the Fall. That means for all us New England’ers, the cold is approaching and the snow too. Boo!

I actually really miss the scorching hot weather! Summer in Germany lasted about 2 seconds (alright, like 6 weeks) and now it’s f’ing cold again. Bleh.
