Okay, here we go.
I’ve actually been working on this new design for months. MONTHS. Because not only did I want a new design (the easy part) I wanted to stop using Movable Type and roll my own blog with Django. And even though Django is super-powerful and easy, I kept getting distracted by work, life, and sometimes sleeping.
There’s a few things I really like about my new site. First, I ditched all archives pre-2004. That old stuff makes me cringe, and it was time to drop it and forget all of those college years ever happened. Next, I wanted to bring back my links page but in a much, much cooler way, so what happens now is every thirty minutes or so I grab all of your feeds and update my data. That way, links are ordered by whomever has updated most recently, and I link off to whatever your most recent post is as well (with an excerpt). Finally, I have a little reviews section, which is where I’m going to put brief thoughts on movies and music and possibly books if I ever read any of those.
Enjoy! I’ll be ironing out some wrinkles in the next few days, so email me if you come across anything weird.

Well done, Maura. Love the swashies up top (yes, I just invented the word “swashies”). :)

I’ve been sneaking peaks for a couple weeks (poet!) and absolutely love it, maybe even my favorite yet.

Ack! What happened to live comment previews? Now how will I ever know what my comments look like before I make the great commitment of pressing the Post button?

This revision is so great, it gives me chills. I’m actually kind of scared.

lovely! :)
…I have to admit, I got a sneek peak the other day when I saw a link here in my referrer stats. I loved it then and I love it now! Great work!

Very classy, I love the links page and how nicely organised everything is!

Being that I have a googliezed blog that’s rarely updated, I’m sure I’m the last person allowed to bear upon you criticism. I like near everything about the site…. except that horrid color green used in the date. What’s with everybody’s facination for ugly shades of green? Don’t get me wrong, I love peas. Just not the color of canned ones. Other than that, I do dig. Fancy F by the way.

Hooray Django!
