I read an embarrassingly low number of books this year. Tiny. Minuscule. I’d say that maybe a resolution for next year would be to read more books, but I’m not sure it’s necessary. I read constantly: CNN.com, blogs, online articles and tutorials, and more magazines than usual this year. But those printed, bound things you buy at Barnes & Noble… wasn’t really interested in 2006.
I thought 2006 was a pretty poor year for movies. Most of the time I couldn’t be bothered to go unless there was a glowing review on Metacritic. I still love movies, but I’m not wasting my time on crappy ones.
I have a few simple things I’d like to accomplish in 2007. The first is that since I live alone, I have a hard time finding the motivation to cook dinner for myself. All I need is some forethought, and I can have delicious and healthy meals that aren’t Lean Cuisines. The second is a little personal, but basically I want to take better care of my skin and keep it moisturized, because it tends to be dry. The last is I’d like to keep all of my spaces cleaner—my apartment especially, my car, and my desk at work (although that’s generally okay).
That’s it! Now let’s party.

I’m going to reccomend Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme for your skin care needs, especially hands and feet. I wash dishes constantly at work, and my hands crack and bleed and get very uncomfortable, especially in the winter. This stuff is great, especially putting it on overnight, as it’s a bit thick and greasy, almost like a salve. I sound like a commercial.

“I’m not sure it’s necessary.”
I’ve been wondering the same thing lately. I spend all day (and at times all night) reading various bits of the interweb, but spend very little time reading actual books (although I prefer Borders to Barnes & Noble)
I wonder if what I really need (and perhaps you would benefit as well) is a bit more fiction in my literary intake. I really don’t get much of that here (www) but I bet if given a bit more focus, I could find something of value to read on those dead tree, old world, scrollish type, paperbacks.
Or not.
