Am I the only person who isn’t really affected by this crazy heat? I mean, I know it’s hot, I see the weather reports and whatnot, and I think, “Yeah, well, it’s summer.” Maybe it’s because I spend most of my day indoors, with the job and all, as well as the sleeping. But when I do go outdoors, I don’t feel oppressed or anything.
Last week, everyone from work and some of their significant others played basketball from around 6:30pm on, a time of day when it’s still pretty hot out. (Also, and I don’t want to brag or anything, but I got lots of rebounds.) I think if I can handle a couple of hours running around on the court, I can handle going to and from the office every day.
Also, I’m a huge fan of the heat-induced summer storms.
P.S. Don’t forget to jump, because, you know, it’s going to stop global warming.

When you don’t have air-conditioning in the car, and have to sit in a hot, badly ventilated car (that has been sitting in 100F weather all afternoon and therefore the interior of the car is probably 120F), for 15 minutes (that may not seem long, but trust me) to and from work - hitting every stoplight along the way… and then you get to work and the air isn’t ever working properly, and your breakroom is about 80F at all times - you feel the heat. And it sucks.
But yeah, I mean, it’s summer, so it’s going to be hot.

Everyone here loves the heat. I can’t stand it. Summer is not my favorite season. I went to a baseball game recently. They say they love the heat that is until people start getting overheated and passing out left and right. That’s not fun. The only thing I like about Summer is the ice cream trucks.

I agree. I also enjoy the storms. But the heat at night is the killer - when it’s too hot to sleep. That’s when it starts getting oppressive. Haha.
