Running

03 nov 06

My main form of cardio (and exercise in general) is running. You can do it any time, anywhere, and you don’t need a gym membership, just some shoes. I bought the Nike+ Sport Kit a while back and have been tracking my runs with it on their website.

Anyway, Shaun challenged me to run 50K, and whoever logs that distance first wins… something. A distance challenge is better for me because I’m not very fast. I had kind of a poor week as far as working out goes, and Shaun lost his transmitter tonight, so we’re neck-and-neck.

Tomorrow I’m doing the Nashville Race for the Cure, and it is going to be my best run yet. Then I’m going to run lots more and win the challenge to seal my eternal glory.

Good luck with the running! I have been roped into a charity 5k in December with one catch - I have to do it in full Santa Claus costume… don’t know if I’m looking forward to it or not :)

That’s so cool! I wanted to go to that and take pictures, but alas.. I have to work.

Have fun and I hope you win the coveted cure for breast cancer.

What? That’s not what you win?

Putting the transmitter actually inside the shoe, between the shoe and the top of the foot, kind of on the side, works best for me. It hasn’t slipped since I started wearing it there!
