Tonight I went to the liquor store to buy a mini bottle of Maker’s Mark. I need a couple of tablespoons of bourbon for a recipe I’m making, and I really don’t need a whole bottle for that. So I browsed around the store for a while, looking for a McWilliam’s wine (Shiraz) like I always do, to no avail. I made my way up front where I was given the royal treatment for my 2$ purchase, because I was the only customer for two bored employees. While the first guy was running my card, the second guy held up my diminutive, 50 mL bottle, and asked, “Would you like a bag for this?”

It snowed here this morning. It didn’t stick, but it was the best part of my day.

And here I thought ferrying me around to fit my flat tire would have been the best part of your day. You got out of the office, and had a look at the inside working of the automotive industry. Like a field trip in middle school.

Ha - did we both make Deb’s banana bread? Too bad you don’t live closer, you could share my gigantic bottle ;)
