I have this new Thursday night ritual I call “Go to Old Navy and try on all of the clothes they have.” I also count this as my cardio for the day. Kidding. Maybe.
I feel kind of bad about spending money right now, but my guilt doesn’t change the fact that I have nothing to wear for fall/winter. Old Navy and I kind of broke up over the summer, because they were really into ultra low rise jeans and tunics and other weird things, and I was not. But during the winter it’s just a lot of sweaters, and I can deal with that. I like sweaters. Black ones.
Old Navy has been using a lot of cute fabric in the lining of their women’s pants. The ones I got tonight have spiders on the inside. You should check it out. Well, at the store. Not the inside of my pants.

Old Navy and I had to break up a long time ago because I just wasn’t all that into their stuff. I felt like a small cog in the giant machine of society by shopping there. So I started buying items from Ebay one at a time, and that’s been good. Also, I’ve been knitting a lot, so if I need a sweater/shrug/whatever, I’ll try to knit it instead of buy it.
And yeah, that low rise jean and tunic thing is not pretty. I know it’s more expensive, but tried Ann Taylor Loft or whatsit called, 4th and Towne?

Old Navy and are on OK terms, but really their jeans get torn easily if you are the least bit active

But the fabrics at Old Navy leave a little to be desired. I like The Gap and Banana Republic better. And yes, I totally realise they’re the same company.
Though I’m going to check out the lining of women’s pants when next I go in just to see what you’re talking about.

About a month ago they were doing a lot of shirts with cowlnecks, which I thought was pretty ballsy for Old Navy considering that Nina Garcia herself had an almost allergic reaction to cowlnecks on Project Runway.
