Candy is my greatest weakness, especially seasonal candy. We’ve arrived at that time of year where there’s a constant flow of seasonal candy in stores, starting with good old candy corn. I bought a small bag tonight, and maybe it was just the variety, but wow, that stuff was sickeningly sweet. Was it that bad last year? Have I changed?
I had a really good workout tonight, and when I got home I had a bit of cranberry juice cut with a lot of water. I don’t drink a lot of juice, because, you know, juice is as bad as soda, but I do love cranberry juice, so sometimes I have the 100% juice kind with equal or greater parts of water.
This struck me as hilarious, because while I’m concerned about drinking too much fruit juice, I’ll let myself eat a bunch of mellowcreme pumpkins after grocery shopping. (Not to many, though, because, damn, those things were sweet.)

I bought Indian corn last year, and I could only eat less than half the bag. Then again, taste buds evolve in seven years and as we get older, we have more of taste for things that are bitter and tart.

I’ve found that different brands can be very different when it comes to that simple candy.
Hey, cranberry juice has good urinary tract healthiness.
