I’ve mentioned my love of reading recipes before, and with the internet I have nearly and endless supply to entertain myself. At the moment, I’m very interested in (a) vegetable recipes, because I bore of vegetables very easily but should eat more, (b) recipes using wheat flour, or that could use wheat flour, and (c) lower-guilt dessert recipes, usually fruit-based. In fact, I’ve tried to think of all the ways you could cut calories and empty carbs from the quintessential chocolate chip cookie recipe (wheat flour, Splenda, dark chocolate chips with a high cocoa percentage, Crisco’s new trans fat-free shortening, etc), but I’m worried it would be a big waste of time and batter. Oatmeal cookies would probably be a better way to go (fiber!).
These are some of my favorite food links:
Cupcake Bakeshop by Chockylit I love cupcakes, and Cheryl’s recipes are truly original and innovative. She even made ice cream cone cupcakes.
Simply Recipes If this one isn’t in your feed reader, it should be. Elise updates frequently with all kinds of food goodness. I’ve wanted to try this bite-sized chicken Parmesan recipe for a while.
Epicurious This compilation of recipes from Gourmet and Bon Appétit is my new go-to resource for just about everything, replacing All Recipes. User ratings are invaluable, and I love the my recipe box feature.
Candy Blog Have I mentioned that candy is my number one weakness? I really like rating scale and that it’s cross-referenced by brand.
Smitten Kitchen Deb’s new home and food blog is not only entertaining but has huge, beautiful photos of food to go along with each recipe. Good food photography is difficult—I know—although she does have better equipment than me. (Side note: I have totally been around since the Typepad days.)

Alright, so this has nothing to do with actual recipes, but have you tried Kashi’s TLC Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookies? They are ridiculously good.

Aww, thank you. Cookies for you! I’m sure once I’m done with my 15 hours of bread baking, I’m going to be bored again, thusly, cookies! I was totally serious.
I don’t make them low-fat, though. But, I do make them tiny to compensate.
