I had to call the IRS the other day. Turns out I never got my refund from 2005. So I should have called about this a long time ago, but the thought of calling up the IRS was, understandably, none too appealing.
At around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, I decided to rip off the Band-Aid. I was still at work, but I figured I would spend a long time on hold so that’s pretty easy to work through. As it turns out I was completely wrong. I was helped quickly by a very polite (practically jolly) woman who found my return in the computer. After some government-mandated paperwork, I’m going to get it. So I’ll get like double returns this year! My savings account will love it.

Woo! That’s pretty cool. I received mine for this year, but having that doubled would have been nice. I doubt my savings account would have seen it, but I’m sure I would have found something to do with it.
