2007: Books

22 dec 07

I read very few books this year. I’ve touched in this before, but I’m always pretty amazed by this because I read copiously. Constantly. Without end. But, 2007 was a big magazine/online news year for me.

Anyway, thinking back there’s really no contest as to what was the standout book I read this year—it’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan. If you haven’t read it, I’m pretty sure the book, and even just the first section on corn, will change your thinking about what you put in you and your family’s bodies. (This was actually a notable book in 2006, but, what can I say, I’m slow.)

Another good book I read this year was Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. And I mention this more because I was amazed Shaun actually lent it to me.

I think my grand total for the year is 8 which is totally depressing. Hopefully i can polish off two more to make it to the double digits. I miss books. Hope you had a fabulous Christmas Maura!
