We’ve been talking about Jello quite a bit at work recently (evidence), though I’m not really sure why. A week or so ago I wondered aloud about whether they still make/sell those molds where you can make Jello eggs for Easter. I found this page (which has since been updated for the upcoming holiday!), and saw that I could purchase the mold, for 3.50$ and free shipping, no less. Sold.
I was kind of thrown off by the products not actually residing at KraftFoods.com in addition to the non-standard checkout process. Actually, now that I’m thinking more about it, maybe it was the use of the Lucida Handwriting typeface. Since they listed a customer service line I figured I’d call and see if there was a legitimate menu and then maybe I’d place an order.
Instead I was put immediately through to a live customer service representative (!) for Kraft Foods, who I don’t think was accustomed to fielding website validity inquiries, so that was really awkward. Also, I hadn’t planned on talking to anyone at all, but he and I muddled through (and all the while I had a amused audience, as I was still at work).
Anyway, the mold came in this week and I’m just now realizing this post would be far better if I had actually used it yet, but alas, so be on the lookout for that. And, I just thought I’d let you know you can feel good about ordering Jello egg molds from Kraft!

By the way, they had those molds at the grocery store (Food Lion) when I was there the other day.

I had a really hard time using the mold when I had one. I opened the mold and it broke my eggs in half. :(
