A couple of weekends ago I went to my college BFF’s wedding. They had a short ceremony in a church and a cake-and-punch reception next door in a beautiful old home. Later on they held an afterparty at their house with a keg of delicious Bud Light.
So, if it’s not already known, I basically hated college, for a number of reasons. I wasn’t too excited about going to this wedding/party because it would be mostly (all!) my BFF’s friends from college. I mean, they weren’t really my friends, but nonetheless. Luckily, I had a pretty good time anyway, despite the Bud Light. My BFF and I told a few stories about when we lived together in college (one where we stole accidentally ended up with (not intentionally!) a huge, cheap handle of vodka). It was nice to be reminded that perhaps my college years weren’t all bad.
Also, I am a huge hit with people I knew 3+ years ago and haven’t seen in a while, because unlike most people I knew in college, I lost weight post-graduation, not gained. You’d think this would inspire me to be good, but, alas, I am still so over running right now.
