Has anyone else noticed the new headshots they have for the NFL players this year — the ones they show when they are listing stats for reference? They’re actually short films, and the players move/breathe a bit.
Anyway, I only mention this because it reminds me of photographs in Harry Potter, and I wonder if one has anything to do with the other.

It’s probably just a result of the fact that they have a new chyron (graphics computer) that can handle more clips (that’s how it views “mini-movies” like that). Or, they’ve had the capability all along (and given what they use, it’s possible), and someone just said, “hey, we can do this.” The NFL broadcast teams are pretty good about trying new things with graphics and other technologies each year… once upon a time, the first down marker was an innovation!
