Thanksgiving in the South

22 nov 07

Today we deep-fried a turkey while drinking Thanksgiving-themed malt beverages. I cannot even make this stuff up.

Hope you had a good one, too.

No turducken? What kind of Southern Thanksgiving are y’all having out there?

Hey there Maura - Mandi of the 294,000 HS team pages here. This comment has nothing at all to do with Thanksgiving. See, when I was goofing around w/my new Twitter account (I’m not sure what to do w/it; please school me) I noticed that your blog is called “notmyself.com” and, being a John Mayer fan from way on back, I wanted to ask if you’re one of us, too. Because “Not Myself” is a great JM tune that is woefully underappreciated. If not, it’s OK but I’m hoping the answer is “YES! YES! A THOUSAND TIMES, YES! OMG! OMG! OMGAAAAAAAAAWD!” since Niketa P. and I are trying to drum up a little group of AJC folks to hit the next JM show in ATL (so many acronyms!) and we’d heart for you to, as they say in Heisel’s part of the world, “come with.”

If you’re just sitting there right now, going “Huh?,” then… Happy Thanksgiving. Which makes me a liar. Because it means this post DID have something to do w/Thanksgiving after all.

Deep-fried turkey always sounds so good—so envious! I wonder if I could pull it off in a tiny nyc apartment… Glad you had good one.
