A pledge

29 nov 07

As a web developer, I pledge to do my best not to build anything that requires you to sign up for Yet Another Damn Account™. This is something that has become really important to me. You’re sick of always making up a new username and password, right?

Unless you are like 75% of users and use the same username and password for everything.

I just use the same, but it’s tedious whatever you do.

Fuckin’ A.

We were just going through this with a client at the Day Jobâ„¢, and it seems as if we’ve won the battle and posting / using their new “social site to beat Facebook and MySpace” will not require registration for a majority of initial tasks, and use open ID when required to create an account.

I swear I’m going to have to leave client work altogether if I have to build one more of these.

I just use the same one for everything. Take it, identity thieves!
