Pedestrian rage

01 oct 07

If I am standing on a street corner waiting to cross, and I don’t have the benefit of a light (or maybe I do, that’s happened, too), and you are the last car in a cluster of cars before a lull that would allow me to cross, do not stop to let me go! Just keep driving. Thank you.

On MARTA escalators, stay to the right if you want to stand. The left side is for those of us who are passing you. Thank you.

If you’re going to ask me for money, you need to be faster about it. By the time you get through “Excuse me, ma’am,” I am twenty feet past you. Oh, wait, don’t freaking ask me for money. Thank you.

Wow! You sound like your average New Yorker!

From a driver’s perspective, your first point reminds me of one of my pet peeves: those people who hold traffic up and flash their lights at you to turn in front of them when your blinker is on and you’re patiently waiting for traffic to let up before you make your left turn.

I can find a break in traffic by myself, thank you very much.
