Recently Flickr reached its 2147483647th photo, which is the limit for an unsigned integer. (Compare to when Slashdot ran out of comment IDs.) Since I am currently storing Flickr IDs as integers (even though they always told you not to), my import mechanism is broken. Sad.
This post by Simon Collison sums up my ongoing blogging ennui. I’m torn between a tumblelog or less frequent, longer posts, which is a problem because they’re opposites. Blah blah, blogging, blah blah.
I recently reorganized my Google Reader similarly to what Kottke describes here. Some “always” reads: dive into mark, dooce, not martha, Smitten Kitchen and xkcd. (I call “infoglut” “noise.”)

I used to go through blogging ennui regularly every six month or so; a little while ago I was trying to choose between the options you mentioned (my third option was giving it up altogether). I decided to go for something sort of tumble-loggy (thus relieving me of the pressure of having to come up with “original content”), but I reserve the option to post something longer every now and then if I feel like.
I am really happy with the outcome, and my blog feels like something I’m doing for myself (as opposed to for an audience) for the first time in years.
