Lucky number thirteen

29 jul 08

So I moved this past weekend, and I got to thinking about all the places I’ve lived.

  1. The apartment my parents were renting in New Bedford, MA, when I was born. I don’t remember this at all.
  2. The second apartment we lived in after I was born, also in New Bedford, MA.
  3. Our first house, Fairhaven, MA (Hacker St).
  4. Our second house, Fairhaven, MA (North Walnut Ave, which later became Castle Ave once 911 moved in).
  5. Our first house in Tennessee, in Franklin.
  6. My freshman dorm room at UT, in Knoxville, where I lived with my roommate Rachel.
  7. My sophomore dorm room at UT, where I lived alone.
  8. My first apartment, with Tara and Lindsey and their four cats, junior year. (Never again.)
  9. My second apartment, with my college BFF Brandon, my senior year. (We had a lot of good times here, including Long Island Iced Tea nights on Thursdays.)
  10. My first apartment by myself, same complex as #9. I painted the whole thing, and that was a huge mistake!
  11. My second apartment by myself, still in Knoxville. It was a studio, and I really liked that place.
  12. My first apartment in Atlanta, another studio, but a super-swanky one. I’d still be living there if not for…
  13. My huge industrial-loft-type apartment, on Peachtree Street, with Shaun.

Yikes. I’m buying a house after this and staying there forever.

Don’t forget the badass climbing tree in the front of our house on Hacker Street!

I found your blog through 435.

How do you like the industrial sized apt on Peachtree?

That’s quite a rap sheet of abodes. Mine’s not as long but varied if you stay in the Metro Atlanta area only. That’s right, I’m just an Atlanta (sheltered) guy.

Nice blog though. I’ll be stopping by more often.
