This past Saturday morning I got up early to go downtown and watch the annual Dragon*Con parade. Dragon*Con is a huge, yearly science-fiction/nerd/etc. convention held in Atlanta.
I went with Kelvin (somewhat-defunct blog link) whose gargantuan lens starts conversations with strangers. He loaned me a 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, which was awesome considering I’ve only been shooting with my fixed lens since I got my camera.
A lot of other spectators had professional camera equipment, and a lot of the participants in the parade had cameras as well. Parade nerds, meet photography nerds.
This was my first real camera outing, and it was totally fun! Thanks, Kelvin.
See all of my Dragon*Con parade photos.

Defunct! Shnikes you’re right, but only because of the piles of photo’s I’ve taken combined with my verbose blog style leads to procrasti-nation. I should get on that.
